What we are about

I started Morty's Salt Service with the intentions to make my life a little easier. When we built our house the first thing we did, besides move in the furniture was to have a Water Softener installed. What a glorious day this was, no more hard water spots, less soap to be used and super soft skin and hair. How could we live without these wonderful things???

Well these wonderful things don't come easy. Sure you pay to have the Water Softener installed but did you forget about the maintenance? In order to have your softener work properly it needs to be filled with salt. Not 1 bag of salt, 6-8 bags of salt every 2-3 months!

I found myself forgetting to buy salt while at the grocery store but if remembered, I then had to load the bags of salt into my car as well as the groceries and the baby. Once I got home I had to figure out how to get these 40 pound bags of salt out of my car and down the stairs to the basement and then emptied into the tank. Sure I could wait for my husband to do it but lets be honest.....that usually meant waiting a week or two before having to nag him to take the salt to the basement and fill the softener. By then I would be annoyed and end up doing it myself!!!

That's when it hit me, there has to be an easier way! I would be more than happy to pay someone to bring me the salt, haul it to the basement and fill my tank for me. I knew that I was not alone in this dealing with this major innconveinence. As a new mom, this was one less thing I needed to worry about! I started asking around about this concept and was ammazed that the positive response I got. Morty's Salt Service was born!
